" whats new?" when we do the unexpected, the brain reacts differently because it has heard the standard response so many times.try experimenting on your friends, start with no response then a slight smile and then a semi sad face and see the different reactions and the different responses you get,remember every action has an equal or opposite reaction

When using "Silence" always keep eye contact... Had a issue this week with a Agent who used "Silence" and was wondering why the Babe rolled her eyes when he looked back!
What the Agent used was not "Silence" it was.... "RUDENESS" she picked up on it and he was wondering "What The Hell Happened"
She waited about 3 seconds before breaking the silence.
The amount of silence a person is comfortable will vary with their cultural upbringing. Seems like a typical North American girl. Finnish in particular, but also other northern Europeans tend to be comfortable with longer periods of silence.
When I have used silence in the past (perhaps without understanding the full power until now), I can count a handful of times when a girl was eager to break the silence - I usually interpret that as having a weaker frame or maybe lower self esteem - probably because they quickly made up an answer in their head and changed their mind to do what I suggested.
This chick is pretty hot and appears to be fairly socialized with a frame of a hot girl who is used to things being given to her when she smiles - I'm reading this from the expectant stare at 0:12-0:16 (which I interpret as "you sure the answer is no, I'm pretty hot, see!" followed by her winning smile).
It breaks down at 0:16, where you see (just before she looks down to her right) a flash of "oh that didn't work - what now?" and the internal dialog commences.
Didn't mean to write a book on my first post, but I liked this one - the facial cuing is very clear to me.
